Work That Starts in Knysna and Goes Across the Garden Route
Our base is in Knysna Industria, and the work often takes us to Plettenberg Bay, Sedgefield, Wilderness, George and Mossel Bay. Some days are spent in the workshop cutting, welding and finishing stainless parts. Other days are on site measuring up, fitting handrails, installing gates or sorting a repair that needs steady hands and a bit of patience.
We look for people who understand that a neat finish matters, especially in coastal areas where salt air can be hard on metal. You must be comfortable working to drawing, using tools properly and keeping the site clean and safe.
Roles We Commonly Hire For
We do not keep a long standing office team for show. We need practical people who can help with real jobs, real deadlines, and the sort of work local clients ask for in houses, body corporates, lodges and marine settings.
- Stainless fabricators and welders
- Site installers and fitters
- Measuring and drawing support
- Workshop assistants
- Surface finishing and restoration support
- Maintenance and repair technicians
What Helps You Stand Out
Experience is useful, but attitude counts too. If you are steady, teachable and take care with detail, we want to hear from you. People who work well here usually know how to follow instructions, think ahead on site and handle stainless without marking or damaging it. A good eye for alignment goes a long way.
- Previous stainless steel or metalwork experience
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Basic welding or fitting knowledge
- Comfort working at heights or on uneven sites
- Valid drivers licence for some roles
- Good communication with clients and team members
How To Send Your CV
Email your CV to projects@sisonkemanufacturing.co.za with the subject line Career Enquiry. Tell us where you live, what type of work you have done, and whether you are looking for workshop, site or estimating work. If you have photos of past stainless jobs, attach them too.
We read applications as they come in. If your experience matches a current need, we will contact you for the next step. Please make sure your contact number is correct, because missed calls can slow things down more than people expect.
What Working Here Feels Like
This is a working workshop, not a place for soft talk and shortcuts. We expect people to arrive on time, keep gear in order and finish a job properly before moving on. The work changes from week to week, so you need to be flexible and willing to get stuck in when a site is ready and the weather is not ideal.
Some jobs are small repairs, others are full balustrade or gate installations. On the coast, a missed detail can become a problem later, so we pay attention to prep, fixings and final alignment.
Team Values We Look For
Our team includes Siyabonga Mthembu, Annelise van Wyk, Luyanda Ngesi, Ruan Botha, Nokuthula Dlamini and Johan Nel, and each person plays a part in keeping jobs moving. We work best when people respect the chain from measuring to fabrication to installation, and when they can speak up early if something does not look right.
- Honesty about what you can do
- Respect for tools, vehicles and client property
- Careful workmanship on every job
- Willingness to learn from experienced staff
- Consistency under pressure and in bad weather
